Lighting? What is lighting?

It's only 5:33 but I am so unbelievably tired, still, this is finally finished. I'll start the next illustration tomorrow afternoon when I get home, I really need to work faster. I'm not totally satisfied with this, I think mostly it's the bulk of the mermaid's tail and the green in the water that's bothering me, but I need to put this down now and move onto the next, I don't have the time to be a total perfectionist, and I'm too tired anyway.

I do however really like my shark : )

Ach is such a rebel

This is one of the illustrations from one of my most recent uni projects, we need to work in a group for this one, and have decided (in our group of six) to make a set of postcards based on the dreams of friends and family, they will be double sided, and completely funtional postcards (you'll be able to send them to people!) I'm really looking forward to having this all done, it's a lot of hard work, I have one other illustration in the works, and after that I still need three more done by wednesday. It'll look good when it's all finished though : )

It seems though that my group has forgotten that everything we're currently working on now should really be self promotional, I don't think they're spending enough time on their work. I was advised to use traditional media for this project, but as I want to go into comic covers I decided to stick to digital, to show what I am capable of, and the type of things I like to draw.

I Believe in Sherlock Holmes

These are a little something I put together for the 'I Believe in Sherlock Holmes' movement, started by BBC Sherlock fans all around the world after the last episode of series two aired. Lots of people were involved, and I really wanted to be a part of it, as I love the series.

These took 5-6 hours to make, as I didn't want to rush them. My friend Anneli and I have yet to stick them up around our university buildings, but they are all printed out and waiting.
